Spring Collection

Hello my little rosebuds!

Remember the sneak peak of our Spring fashion editorial? Well, here’s a little more to whet your appetite for the full upcoming online book.

Though the vernal equinox doesn’t officially arrive until March 20th, we at the studio are ready to strap on our breezy florals and frolic amongst the butterflies. Feast your eyes on these gorgeous Spring 2011 Runway looks from Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, and others.

Seasons, schmeasons. With the right attitude, any time can be springtime!

Beachy Keen

According to the scientifically indisputable weather predictions of Punxsutawney Phil, Spring will come early this year. This is great news, because we’re just about ready to be whisked away on Spring break! Cue the images of white sanded beaches, turquoise waters, pina coladas, and collegiate wet t-shirt contests.

Wait, scratch that last part.

Fortunately, Giuliano’s Spring 2011 campaign for Michael Stars takes us to that place we’ve been longing for, minus the drunken coeds. Welcome to your ideal vacation, where parrots and sea turtles are your BFFs, and your biggest worry is waking up to sunburn after a dreamy beachside nap. Yes, my friends, this is paradise.

So don’t freeze up in these early days of February. Put a little faith in Phil and start booking your plane tickets.

Winter is so last season.

Beauty Call

January 2011 has been a beautiful time in the studio.

Yes, projects are going well and we’re all happy to back at work full force after the holidays, but what’s been giving this month an extra sparkle is the number of beauty stories we’ve been shooting! Here are two photos from Giuliano’s most recent editorial:

Petals or metals…which do you prefer?

Mirror, Mirror

Yesterday, Giuliano shot a Spring beauty story for Harper’s Bazaar Asia.

Inspired by mirrors and the often-overlooked details their reflections expose, Giuliano and crew built a round mirrored contraption that presented multiple angles of the model’s face all in one image. Futuristic, fragmented, and a little twisted, the images came out beautifully.

To score model Emma’s sophisticated style, here’s a break down of the looks our glam team concocted. Make up artist Riku Campo created fresh off the runway faces using products by Armani Beauté, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Guerlain, Dior Skincare and Ole Henriksen Skincare. Manicurist Beth Fricke polished Emma’s nails with O.P.I. and hair stylist John Blaine smoothed her maine with Max Gel and Shine Spray by KMS California. Can you blame the girl for looking in the mirror?

Check back for updates on the story’s progress.
