“The herculean form, cast in gold, conceals the vulnerability and the softness of the human form. It is heroic and statuesque, a paean to the classics. The works in Odyssey celebrate the glory and drama of these mythological giants, the symbolic nature of their feats and the transcendence of their stories through time.” -Odyssey by Giuliano Bekor
We’ve relaunched Giuliano’s fine art site with changes to some of the existing galleries, as well as his most recent projects. Go over to Giuliano’s fine art website and take a look! We have a ton of shows coming up in the near future, so stay tuned to the blog for updates. In the meantime, check out these covers of Beyond Beauty Magazine featuring Giuliano’s fine art work from his Emulsion and Metamorphosis collections!
Valentine’s day is exactly two days away and what better way to start the final countdown then with flowers? Get hot and bothered by a sneak peek of these beautiful, never before released images that Giuliano shot for his fine art series titled “Echoes.”
“Electric and sensual, Echoes captures the interplay of oil, water and organic materials as they bleed together in a languid environment. Shot in-camera with no special digital effects, this series renders a shape-shifting and often kaleidoscopic vision of sexuality, rapture, creation and the transcendental experience of bliss. No two frames are alike. As the eyes linger, abstract forms appear as characters – creatures, animals, human faces. Colors dissolve like an audio vibration that shifts and collides with its surroundings.”
What happens when you take two art masters with a strikingly similar aesthetic but two very different mediums, put them in a studio together, and let them simultaneously create? The room lights up with magic, and an amazing collaboration takes place.
First, happy 2013! We’ve spent the last few months working on some pretty amazing projects, and are gearing up for an exciting next few months. Giuliano has been on an adventure as well…making his way through Europe to meet with galleries about his latest fine art project, and preparing exhibitions. We can’t release everything just yet, but here’s a sneak peek into the WILD world of Giuliano Bekor. Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks! Wishing you all love, happiness, success, and peace in the new year, from our team to yours.
