It’s been raining the last few days in LA and we’re starting to miss the sunshine around here. Giuliano, however, is soaking it in on location at The Moorings Village in beautiful Islamorada, Florida for a shoot with Avon Cosmetics and the team of Metromotion Productions. Happy Birthday, bikini! Summer is in full effect and we’re paying homage to beach season with a tribute to our sexiest friend. Born from designer Louise Réard in Paris in 1946, the bikini changed the face of popular culture forever. In addition to making icons of actresses like Brigitte Bardot and heroines of the many Bond girls, the two-piece established Marilyn Monroe and Betty Paige as pin-up babes, inspired the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and adorned our fave supermodels from the 90s (think Tyra, Cindy, Naomi, Christy). Continuing on in the spirit of Memorial Day and the start of summer, everyone in the studio is craving some summer lovin’! There is no better way to celebrate this holiday then by spending it down by the beach. The imaginative collaboration of Giuliano Bekor’s vision and Anthony Merante’s glamorous make-up demonstrates a whimsical and quirky state of mind, flirtatiously redefining “beach-bunny.”
Anthony Merante prepped each look with Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 40 (a great summer staple) and MAKE UP FOREVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation. Mimic these sun-kissed cheeks with Giorgio Armani Blending Brush Duo and Tom Ford Blush in Frantic Pink. We love the super saturated lips that Anthony achieved using Urban Decay in Crush and MAC in Lady Danger. If your not shielding your eyes under a pair of fuchsia Dior cat-eyes or navy Chanel shades, make them stand out the way Anthony did using NARS eyeshadow in All About Eve and MAC Eyeshadow in Aquadisiac.
