Jessica Alba for Harper’s BAZAAR Australia

For a little summer inspiration, we wanted to share one of our favorite celebrities to work with, Jessica Alba, in her photo spread for Harper’s Bazaar Australia January/February 2011 shot by Giuliano Bekor. While we were braced against the cold in the peak of the winter season, Australians were soaking up the summer sun as the actress is seen lounging by the pool, looking every bit the summer starlet. We love this editorial spread for its high fashion as Jessica dons head-to-toe Louis Vuitton with mixed patterns and overstated baroque- two leading trends for the summer season.

Tangerine Tango

We hope the you had great Memorial Day weekend and are as excited for summer’s start as we are. We are heating up our blog with our inspiration of the day:  Pantone’s 2012 color of the year, Tangerine Tango- a shade that epitomizes energy and exotic radiance. Though we love this color for summer, the versatility of this vivacious hue makes it an award-winning “go-to” year round. Tangerine Tango is our focus today as we share some images from the Colorfly album that incorporate the attention-grabbing color.

A fleeting moment of vivid beauty, the Colorfly collection acts like the butterfly, providing brisk glimpses of a forceful and eye-catching juxtaposition of dramatic shades against the subtle undertone of a human figure.

Our tangerine lips are bursting with vibrance like NARS Semi Matte Lipstick in Heat Wave and shine using gloss like NARS Lip Gloss in Wonder. While we’ve been focused on the color of year, we can’t help but love the rest f the colors in the collection. Get inspired to imitate this color palette with products like MAC Cosmetics’ highly pigmented color in Electric Eel, Jealousy Wakes, Chrome Yellow, and Parfait Amour. Though butterflies aren’t common in a practical beauty regimen, having fluttering, luscious lashes like Urban Decay’s False Lashes can easily mimic wings to complete this electrifying look.


Summer Love

Continuing on in the spirit of Memorial Day and the start of summer, everyone in the studio is craving some summer lovin’! There is no better way to celebrate this holiday then by spending it down by the beach. The imaginative collaboration of Giuliano Bekor’s vision and Anthony Merante’s glamorous make-up demonstrates a whimsical and quirky state of mind, flirtatiously redefining “beach-bunny.”

Anthony Merante prepped each look with Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 40 (a great summer staple) and MAKE UP FOREVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation. Mimic these sun-kissed cheeks with Giorgio Armani Blending Brush Duo and Tom Ford Blush in Frantic Pink. We love the super saturated lips that Anthony achieved using Urban Decay in Crush and MAC in Lady Danger. If your not shielding your eyes under a pair of fuchsia Dior cat-eyes or navy Chanel shades, make them stand out the way Anthony did using NARS eyeshadow in All About Eve and MAC Eyeshadow in Aquadisiac.

Underwater Inspiration

Memorial Day is the official summer season kick off and we wanted to showcase some underwater shots from our newly updated Fine Art website.

The first two images are featured in the album, Effervescence. Effervescence describes a collected, vivacious energy as balloons of air dance against bold colors submerged in active waters. The focus of this collection is the variety of artistic makeup designs that boast extreme hues and a fiery contrast opposite to the subdued nature of the water.

The last two images are featured in the album, Abstract. Abstract is an emulsion of watercolor as it likens a painting in its fluid and kaleidoscopic features. With an indefinable origin and aggressive motion, this collection demonstrates the fantasy of thought whether one is sleeping or awake.

Ice Princess

The Ice Princess editorial shoot for Newport Beach Magazine was lustrous and elegant as model Ana Colja posed in a chic bathroom at The St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort. It’s Wedding Season

It’s Wedding Season and love is in the air! Giuliano recently shot the Four Seasons Magazine, Wedding Issue at the Beverly Hills location with glamorous gowns and scene-stealing jewels. Carolina Herrera dresses, Giuseppe Zanotti heels and gorgeous diamonds crafted by Neil Lane would make any girl feel like a Leading Lady for the day.
