Michaelangelo Bekor’s “The Creation of Man”

Throughout the millennia man has battled and been battled due to the idea of God and the creation of earth.  Paganism giving way to the Judeo-Christian religions and when you look at all of them under a microscope they are really all just replicas of the same couple of stories.

I don’t think there is a better artistic representation of a biblical story than Michelangelo’s representation of the Creation of Man which graces the walls and ceilings of the Sistine chapel. In the middle of Vatican City the Sistine chapel houses one of the greatest imaginary stories of our conception.

For all of you who have never seen the art piece it is thought provoking how Michelangelo shows the blasé(ness) of Adam and how hard God trying to reach Adam’s hand.

Michelangelo would be proud.

COLORFLY for FIASCO magazine by Giuliano Bekor

Color, Contour and Poise… (not to mention f#$%ing amazing pictures) are some things that come to mind when I view this work by Giuliano.

I am in love, I do have to say.  With a balance of make-up to accentuate the beautiful model’s lips, eyes and cheekbones, as well as the addition to the careful balance of (real but dead) butterflies.

Caleb Landry Jones to be in X-Men: First Class

An American actor born in Garland, Texas has been living in Los Angeles for the past eight months. I feel like I can relate with the texan-expatriate because even though he is currently living in Hollywood he says he has yet to feel like he’s placed some roots here.

Jones was shooting his up and coming movie by director Matthew Vaughn X Men: First Class, in London for a few months prior to coming to the city of angeles.  In this film Caleb plays the character Banshee.

Caleb saw his first film role in the 2007 film No Country for Old Men and gained significant notoriety with his role in The Last Exorcism.

Jones will next star in Baltasar Kormákur’s thriller film Contraband opposite Mark Wahlberg.

Hopefully this young and talented actor will stay in Los Angeles till he gets a bit more used to our quirky ways.
